Sky Sports viewers fume over lack of Seamus Power coverage during US PGA Championship final round

Golf fans were furious with the lack of Seamus Power coverage during the final round at Southern Hills.

The Waterford man went into the last day of the US PGA Championship just six shots behind leader Mito Pereira.

But Sky Sports didn't show much of his final round despite Power battling for a top ten finish at the very least.

One person tweeted: "Is Seamus Power playing today@SkySports."

Another said: "I'm begging Paul McGinley to grab a camera and run out to cover Seamus Power as otherwise we’ll see nothing of the man."

Someone else commented: "Please show Seamus Power and not random players late in their round with no hope of placing Top 10."

One other fan asked: "Why are we seeing wall to wall Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood and nothing from Seamus Power who is T6? Joke coverage."

Speaking after his round on Saturday, Power said he felt confident going into the final day as he thanked his caddie Simon Keelan for his advice on the course.

He told Sky Sports after his round: "You are basically learning a new course, so I needed Simon's help a lot out there. We did our best with it. Those birdies on the way in made all the difference.

"You're still hoping no one gets too far ahead on the back nine. My game feels good and today seeing a few putts going in towards the end feels nice and gives you confidence and hopefully that continues into tomorrow."
