Sky Sports presenter Hayley McQueen pregnant after 'horrific' endometriosis battle

Sky Sports presenter Hayley McQueen has revealed she is pregnant with her "miracle" first child.

The broadcaster, 39, from Manchester, shared the "breaking news" in a heartwarming Instagram post where she bravely opened up about her battle with endometriosis.

Hayley, who is engaged to model and actor Kirk Newmann, explained how she "wasn't sure" having a baby would ever happen because of the painful disorder which can often affect the ovaries and fallopian tubes.

She began seeking fertility help two years ago, but it was on the day they were set to begin IVF treatment that they discovered the wonderful news that Hayley was already expecting.

"Baby McQueen- Newmann has been cooking away for a few months now & pleases to report so far so good. We feel so incredibly blessed." she wrote.

Hayley explained how she had struggled with "horrific endometriosis" and had surgery to remove "pesky cysts".

"Just as we we were about to embark on an IVF journey abroad I found out I was expecting, in fact, the very day I spoke to the embryologist to map out my cycle and dates was the day we found out," Hayley revealed.

"Kirk ever the optimist said it would happen naturally & we are so lucky that it did. It’s been an anxious few months but couldn't be more excited for the new chapter in our lives."

Hayley, who is the Sky Sports anchor for the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup coverage, sent her well wishes to other couples in a similar struggle to conceive and encouraged them not to let statistics get them down.

"I hope me and my 1 working ovary, declining follicles and hormones can be of some hope for others who are struggling," she added.

"I genuinely think that I relaxed knowing that we’d found a wonderful place to have IVF to look forward to in the new year. This coupled with Kirk’s extensive research on diet and fitness must have contributed to our little miracle."

Her fiancée Kirk was equally thrilled to find out that he was finally set to be a dad and shared the same photo of the pair on his own Instagram .

"Blessing news! Look what comes along with the spring this year. We are having a new tenant.'

"I am finally Kirk the Dad and Mama @mcqueenhayley."
