The body of a sixth person has been discovered following a house fire in Hounslow, west London, on Sunday evening, the Metropolitan Police said.
Five people had been confirmed killed in the blaze, the sixth person had remained unaccounted for. Police said the bodies were those of children and adults.
Adults who lived at the property had been named locally as Aroen Kishen and his wife Seema, while the children were named in a tribute from their school as Riyan, Shanaya and Arohi.
Mr Kishen was on Thursday still being treated in hospital after the blaze that he managed to escape. His injuries are not considered life threatening. Neighbours heard him shouting for his children as the fire raged.
More than 70 firefighters fought the blaze which ripped through the property on Channel Close.
Detective chief inspector Garth Hall said: "Firstly, I want to express my sincere condolences to all those affected by this terrible incident. The deaths of so many people, including children, is simply heart-breaking.
"We intend to complete a meticulous investigation into how this tragedy happened. For many days now the scene has been too unstable and dangerous to complete many of our enquiries.
"It was only after the walls were shored up, and the roof removed, that it became safe enough for search teams to enter the premises."
Mr Hall said the deaths were being treated as unexplained and the families of the victims have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
