Ben Simmons is going to make his return to Philadelphia on Thursday for the first time since being traded to the Brooklyn Nets. And though Simmons won’t be available to play, Sixers fans absolutely cannot wait to boo him as he sits on the bench.
Some fans are even getting a head start on the antics.
Video hit social media on Thursday morning showing Simmons exit the Nets’ team hotel at the Four Seasons Philadelphia — not to be confused with Philadelphia’s Four Seasons Total Landscaping — to a chorus of boos.
One fan could be heard thanking Simmons for bringing James Harden to Philadelphia.

Simmons didn’t acknowledge the hecklers, and he obviously expects to hear a lot worse when he makes his return to the Wells Fargo Center. But man, Sixers fans are really excited to boo a player who won’t even play.
It’s time to move on already.
