Dark comedy movie Banshees of Inisherin has been nominated for a number of Oscars in different categories, including Barry Keoghan who has been nominated for best supporting actor.
Keoghan originally hailing from Summerhill in Dublin has frequently spoke about his difficult childhood where he and his brother were in numerous foster homes at a young age and dealing with the tragedy of losing his mother when he was just 12-years-old.
The actor recently won a BAFTA award for best supporting actor for his prefomance in the Banshees of Inisherin and was clearly emotional in his acceptance speech which he dedicated to the youth of his hometown. He said: "“Ireland, Brando, this is for my son as well, Brando. For my mother, and also for the kids that are dreaming to be something from the area where I came from. This is for you."

The 30 year old is well known for his roles in movies such as Dunkirk, 71 and of course most recently the Banshees of Inisherin. Looking to the future after the Oscars there is plenty more of Barry to come, here is a list of his upcoming movies.
New untitled Billy the Kid movie (TBD)
Keoghan has revealed that he has landed the lead the role of a new movie which will portray the life and story of American Wild West outlaw Billy the Kid. There have been many movies produced about the outlaw's life but Barry has said that he wants to portray him in a different way and humanise him.
The movie is currently without a title.
Bring Them Down (TBD)
Keoghan has reportedly replaced fellow Irish award winning actor Paul Mescal in upcoming drama called Bring Them Down. The film is currently being shot in Ireland and the story follows a sheep farmer in the west of Ireland who becomes disgruntled with a neraby farm when he discovers that his sheep are being killed by strangers.
The film also stars Colm Meaney, Susan Lynch,Paul Ready and Nora-Jane Noone. The movie which currently has no release date will be the debut feature movie of writer and director Chris Andrews.
Band of Brothers (TBD)
Spielberg and Tom Hanks collaborated together in 2001 to produce the highly successful HBO 10 episode TV show Band of Brothers. Over a decade later the pair have come together again to produce a follow up show.
Keoghan is set to star in this series but there is no further details out about it at the moment.
The Batman Part II (October 3 2025)
Following the success of Keoghan playing the villain character of the joker in The Batman last year he is set to return to The Batman II which is coming to screens later this year.
Keoghan's cameo as the joker at the end of The Batman movie leaves the possibility for his character to have a larger role in the sequel. During an interview on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast Keoghan revealed his desire to do more with the character in the next movie.
Untitled movie (TBD)
Keoghan recently took to Twitter to announce that he will be working with The Weeknd and Jenna Ortega in a brand new epic movie which is currently completely under wraps as any detail of the movie have not been released.
Keoghan said on Twitter that the movie will be: "epic" and it is reportedly going to be shot in Los Angeles.
Saltburn (TBD)
The movie began filming in July 2022 and is a follow up to Promising Young Woman which was released in 2020. Barry is set to star in the movie alongside Jacob Elordi.
The movie is being directed by Emerald Fennell and Barry is set to play a college student who becomes obsessed with more affluent classmate - played by Jacov Elordi. The movie does not have a release day yet.
