Six-month-old baby and 16-year-old mum among six dead in horror gang slaying

A six-month-old baby and their 16-year-old mother were among six people killed in a suspected gang-related attack at a home in California.

Two gunmen opened fire at a property in Goshen, where they also murdered an elderly woman in her sleep, police said.

Neighbours called 911 to alert cops at 3.30a.m on Monday morning to report an active shooter.

The gunmen fled the premises, leaving their victims strewn both inside the house and in the street outside.

ABC reported that the elderly woman had been killed in her sleep but it was not immediately clear where the teenage mother and her daughter were murdered.

The victims are yet to be identified by authorities, who believe the incident was related to a gang dispute.

Two people reportedly survived the attack by hiding inside the house.

A search warrant for drugs had been carried out at the property a week before the killings took place.

A spokesman for the Tulare County Sheriff's Office said in quotes reported by the Daily Mail: “Detectives believe there are at least two suspects and this is not a random act of violence.

“It appears this family was targeted and there are gang associations involved, as well as potential drug investigations.

“A week ago, TCSO Detectives conducted a narcotics search warrant at the victims’ home.”
