Six key fixtures for Leeds United and their rivals as relegation battle enters home straight

Leeds United are poised to face another battle until the end as they face the scrap of their lives to defend their Premier League status.

Only eight points separate 14th to 19th and the relegation battle promises to be another extremely intense battle.

April 30: Bournemouth v Leeds

Bournemouth are seven points clear of the relegation zone following their 1-0 win over Southampton on Thursday night, and will be hoping to extend that on Sunday However, Leeds can move within three points of the Cherries by winning here, and have a better goal difference.

May 1: Leicester v Everton

Leicester have collected four points in three games under interim manager Dean Smith and will be looking to build on their recent improvement against relegation rivals Everton.

Everton crashed to a heavy 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Thursday and while boss Sean Dyche will be looking for a response from his players, defeat here could be catastrophic.

May 8: Nottingham Forest vs Southampton

Southampton could very well be cut adrift at the bottom by the time they travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest.

However, Ruben Selles' side have a huge opportunity to make up some ground against fellow relegation rivals Forest, who climbed out of the bottom three on Wednesday night with an impressive 3-1 win over Brighton, and ended their 11-match winless run.

May 21: West Ham vs Leeds

West Ham have moved five points clear of the relegation zone after collecting seven points from their last four games. That's not to say that the Hammers are out of the woods yet, and their clash against Leeds could still have huge implications in the battle for Premier League survival.

May 28: Everton vs Bournemouth

Everton welcome Bournemouth on the final day of the season, and the result at Goodison Park could prove crucial in deciding Leeds' fate. Leeds host Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on the final day, but results elsewhere could come into play with the relegation battle threatening to go right down to the wire.

May 28: Leicester vs West Ham

Leeds will also be mindful of events at the King Power Stadium when Leicester play host to West Ham United. The Whites sit two places and one-point above Leicester as it stands, and are likely to still be Leeds' closest competitors come the final day.
