Six jobs you can apply for in Liverpool this week

Whether you are wanting a career change or a fresh start in 2023, these are just some of the jobs being advertised. As we all know, times are harder than ever right now, so we have rounded together some different job roles being advertised around Liverpool this week.

Costume assistant

Lime Pictures are hiring for a full time costume assistant on the set of Hollyoaks.

Lime Pictures say: “We are looking for someone with TV experience who is a confident communicator, solution focused and able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

"As Costume Assistant you will often be the sole person on shoot representing the costume team, you will be given direction and support from your Costume Supervisor in relation to the requirements of each filming day and will be the first point of contact for other crew and cast whilst on the filming floor.”

Venue assistant

O2 Academy Liverpool is recruiting a full-time venue assistant.

The O2 Academy said: “Our venue assistant is an integral member of the team at one of Liverpool’s landmark live entertainment venues, where our shows and events are as diverse as the individuals within it.”

As venue assistant, you will: “assist in all aspects of the operation of the building in relation to events staged at the venue, to act as a central point for all relevant parties and furthermore, to disseminate such information to relevant parties both internal and external.”

Sales advisor

Ted Baker is hiring for a part-time sales advisor position in Liverpool ONE.

The job description states:

“Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Give a warm welcome to all customers at Ted Baker.

  • Maintains and exceeds company sales KPI.

  • Completes all tasks correctly and on time and follows company policies and procedures.

  • Reflects the values of the brand in personal presentation and demonstrates passion for the brand.

Young women's mental health practitioner

Swan Women's Centre is recruiting a mental health practitioner (working with young women aged 16 - 25 years) in Liverpool.

The job description states: “This is a new project which focuses on supporting young women who are struggling with their mental health and are aged between 16 – 25 years. The successful applicant will work with individual clients and provide mental health advice, support, activities and signposting.

“You will also set up and facilitate a support group for young women. You may be required to provide individual counselling for a small number of clients.”

Salary: £16,250 (25 hours) (FTE £22,750)

Wagamama is hiring for a junior sous chef in Liverpool.

Wagamama has said: “If you have a passion for food and either already have some kitchen management, supervisor or team leader experience or would like to step up into a management role then we want to hear from you!”

What you would be doing as a Junior Sous Chef:

  • During your shift, you create a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed + cared for

  • Share your passion + knowledge of Wagamama food

  • learn to manage the line effectively so every dish served is of high quality + served to specification

  • You support training the back of house team on all dishes

  • You understand the importance of growing sales + protecting profit

  • You make sure you follow food safety and health + safety standards throughout your shift

  • You begin to learn about gross profit + labour management.

Liverpool secondary maths tutor

The award-winning educational charity Tutor Trust is “offering the unique opportunity to help transform the lives of young people through high quality tutoring in Liverpool- Merseyside.”

About the role:

  • You will plan and deliver tuition for groups of up to three pupils.

  • You will form impactful relationships with pupils over the course of a tuition assignment (usually 15 weeks).

  • Tuition usually takes place during the school day on the school premises.
