Revenue officers seized €140,000 worth of cannabis at a Dublin premises for the second day in a row.
Yesterday, the same amount of cannabis - 7kg - was seized at the same premises with the assistance of sniffer dog Waffle. Both were found in parcels that originated in Spain and were bound for an address in Dublin 1.
The total seized by Revenue officers over the two days now equates to 14kg which is estimated to be worth €280,000. A Revenue spokeswoman said: "Following on from the seizure of a similar quantity of herbal cannabis reported yesterday (18/08/2022), Revenue officers examining parcels at the same premises in Dublin today (19/08/2022), seized a further 7kgs of the illegal drug with an estimated value of €140,000.

"The drugs were discovered as a result of routine operations and with the assistance of detector dog Waffle, concealed in 7 parcels that originated in Spain and were destined for an address in the Dublin 1 area." She added that "investigations are ongoing".
