A woman tragically lost her life just a few hours after she attended the funeral of her husband, leaving behind their six children.
Sara and Louis Nowak were a happily married couple with six kids until Louis lost his battle with cancer, a few weeks ago.
In a dreadful turn of events, just a few hours after Sara buried her husband, she was killed in a car accident.
Sara's mother, Patricia Cartwright, expressed her sadness and shared memories of her daughter and son-in-law.
She said: "Where one was, the other one was. What the other one didn't think of, the other one did. I don't think she could be without him. So, she is with him."
Sara and Louis Nowak were a loving couple who were married for nearly six years.
The couple had six kids between them and enjoyed spending time together camping, travelling, and being with their family.
Louis Nowak was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and he fought hard to battle it. Despite the pain and hardship, Sara Nowak remained positive and supportive of her husband.
Sadly, Louis Nowak lost his battle with cancer on March 19. Hours after burying her husband, Sara Nowak was killed in a car crash on April 1.
The car she was a passenger in lost control and flipped into a ditch near STH 106 and Calkins Road in the town of Palmyra, Wisconsin.
Although an investigation into the circumstances under which the crash occurred is still ongoing, police have said that the driver lost control of the car and entered a ditch, then the vehicle struck a culvert and overturned.
One of the two passengers was ejected from the vehicle, police said. It is not known who the driver was and how they were connected to the family.
Both people in the car were declared dead on the scene, so, the Nowak family and their loved ones are now grieving the loss of both Louis and Sara Nowak.
Ms Cartwright discussed the sad times the family went through when they received the devastating news of her daughter's death, hours after they had been at her son-in-law's funeral.
She added that she believes Sara could not be without Louis and that now they are together, and said she wants everyone to remember her daughter as being full of life.
Ms Cartwright told CBS 58 of her deceased daughter, Sara, and her family: "Her house was never full, because there was always room for one more. Whenever there was something that somebody needed, she said, 'Don't worry we got this.'
"It's really hard because you get done and then five and a half hours later, you get a call saying that your daughter was in an accident. "We want everyone to remember her as being full of life."
A family friend created a GoFundMe page to help support the six Nowak children during this difficult time, and has so far collected over $15,000 (£12000).
