Six casualties have been reported following a fire at a property in North Lanarkshire.
Emergency services raced to the scene on Stewarton Street in Wishaw at around 7.26pm on Friday January 28.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) deployed four appliances to the location as crews continue to battle the blaze.
A SFRS spokesperson said six people have been passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service following the inferno at the two-storey building.
Police Scotland confirmed they are assisting firefighters at the scene.
Images and videos circulating on social media show the street has been cordoned off.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.26pm on Friday, January 28, to reports of a dwelling fire on Stewarton Street, Wishaw.
"Operation control mobilised four appliances to the scene and firefighters are working to extinguish the fire affecting a two storey property.
"Six casualties were passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews on remain scene."
