As Greater Manchester continues to bask in a heatwave, one way to make the most of the glorious weather is by packing up the car and heading out on a camping trip. According to the Met Office we’re set for another warm weekend so it’s the perfect time to spend a night or two in the great outdoors.

Crossgate Farm Campsite, Glossop
If you’re looking for waterside views then Crossgate Farm Campsite has just that. It overlooks Arnfield Reservoir, near Hadfield on the edge of the Peak District.
Located on a working farm, it’s dog-friendly and has plenty of grass tent pitches available. Guests on the campsite have direct access to the Trans Pennine Trail, the Pennine Bridleway and Pennine Cycleway Route 68 from the site, while the Longdendale Trail is also nearby. Farm and Fell Campsite, Sedbergh, Cumbria
Situated a mile from Sedbergh in Cumbria, this campsite is handily located for those who want explore either the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District. Expect gorgeous views of the nearby fells and miles of dry stone walls.

Aarons Campsite, Cragg Vale, West Yorkshire
Nestled in the stunning scenery of the Calder Valley and only a 30 minute drive from Rochdale, Aarons Campsite offers a traditional camping experience. It’s a great base to explore the surrounding area from with plenty of walks through the surrounding hills and valleys on its doorstep.
It’s within easy reach of Hebden Bridge which makes for a lovely day out, or for incredible views hike up Stoodley Pike. Nelson Brook Farm, Merseyside
Make the most of the warm weather this weekend and combine a camping trip with a visit to the beach at Nelson Brook Farm. It’s only a 10-minute drive away from Southport and a 20-minute drive from Formby.

Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping Park, Caernarfon, North Wales
Located on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping park offers stunning mountain scenery. Within walking distance of Snowdon’s summit, this campsite is perfect for adventurous types.

Dearden Wood Campsite, Ramsbottom, Bury
Tucked away in 11 acres of woodland, this campsite is a 10 minute walk away from the village of Edenfield, Ramsbottom and promises a magical atmosphere. On Friday nights the campsite serves up wood-fired pizza, so you don’t have to worry about preparing food after you’ve pitched your tent.
The campsite is dog-friendly and there are lots of footpaths and cycleways to explore nearby. It’s a popular spot so it’s nearly booked up for this weekend, however it still has some pitches available for a non-electric hardstanding trailer tent or campervan.
