Cop killer Dale Cregan’s sisters could face legal action after posting photos apparently taken in court.
Pictures appeared on social media pages of Kelly and Stacey after Cregan’s nephew Oscar was jailed for drug dealing.
The images show barristers sitting in a courtroom as Oscar made an appearance by videolink.
Some hearings are now televised but taking photographs or making videos in court can lead to a charge of contempt of court.
A spokesman for Manchester’s Minshull Street crown court said an investigation was under way.
Oscar Cregan, 20, was locked up for three years after police unmasked him as a drug pusher calling himself Bad Man.
The court heard he helped set up a cocaine racket after returning to the UK following a stint in Spain.
He was arrested during a stop and search in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, and was found with two burner phones.
He tried to blame his drug dealing on living under the shadow of his psychopath uncle Dale, who is serving four whole life terms.
But a judge said there were “people in similar circumstances who live law-abiding lives”.
Oscar Cregan was a child when one-eyed Dale was jailed in 2013 for killing WPCs Fiona Bone, 32, and Nicola Hughes, 23, and also father and son gangland rivals David, 46, and Mark Short, 23.
The court heard Oscar Cregan also stole a Rolex from a pawn shop and, while at HMP Forest Bank, Salford, scrawled, “Oscar Cregan is a bad man” on a door.
Cregan, who has a referral order for cannabis possession in 2018, admitted criminal damage, theft and intent to supply drugs.
His family declined to comment.
In 2016, Dale Cregan, 39, boasted in a letter about his cushy life.
He had been moved from Strangeways jail to Ashfield hospital after complaining of mental problems. He wrote to a pal: “I’m good bro just smashing the gym and playing snooker you know how it goes.”
While on the run in 2012, cop-hating Cregan made a hoax burglary call to ambush officers.
As rookie WPCs Fiona and Nicola arrived at the house in Mottram, he shot them and threw a grenade at their bodies.
