Sir Tom Jones has issued a statement on Twitter after fans shared their concern for his health after a recent surgery.
Last month, the Welsh music legend, 82, revealed that he needs to have a second hip replacement operation.
The It's Not Unusual crooner had his left hip replaced five years ago, but doctors had advised him to have surgery on his right one, which has been causing him issues.
In recent months, Tom has been pictured using a walking stick, and during his concert at The YouTube Theatre in California in October, the music legend spent most of the performance sat down and clutching on to his cane - which he used for support every time he needed to stand up.
Following his second surgery, Tom took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a positive health update with his adoring admirers.
"Papa has two new hips now! For all those concerned and sent in well wishes, I am pleased to report my recent surgery went very well, I’m following orders and doing my physio, so happy to say I will be back soon," the Sex Bomb hitmaker penned.
Naturally, Tom's fans flocked to send him even more well wishes as they gushed over how happy they were to hear that the Welsh crooner is doing so well after his second operation.
"That is great news Tom, so glad you are doing well and keeping up the physio. Looking forward to having you back in action, take care, stay safe, love always," one admirer replied.
"HIP ,HIP HOORAY!! Boom PAPA! Now you can shake Rattle and roll thanks for the share such great news! Hoping to see you again! Keep on keeping on," another fan enthused.
"I had been so worried about your health Tom. That is is the best new that I have received today," another of Tom's fans gushed.
Speaking at a recent press conference ahead of the new series of The Voice UK, Sir Tom shared: “I’ve got to have a new hip.
“I had my left hip done five years ago and it worked great, so now my right hip is starting to go – wear and tear! So at the moment, I’m bone on bone. That’s what the fella [doctor] told me.”
The problem had appeared to be finding the time to book the surgery in – as Sir Tom already had his US tour scheduled.
Ever the professional, he said he told doctors: “But I’ve got a tour to do in America first, I can’t go in now. He said ‘well you should’ and I said ‘I can’t, I’ve got a show to do.'
Explaining how he copes on stage, Sir Tom added: “I walk on, I’m alright for like four songs and then it really starts to hurt. So I sit on a stool and do the rest from there and everybody loves it.
"I said ‘look, it’s either me getting my bloody hip done and I won’t be able to come here, or do it from the stool and that’s it, so that’s what we’ve got to do.”
Despite his hip trouble, Tom has vowed to keep performing until he reaches 100 - if he lives that long.
