Sir Rod Stewart's daughter Ruby pays tribute to late grandad who 'loved Valentine's Day'

Sir Rod Stewart's daughter Ruby has told how she is thinking of her late grandad this Valentine's Day as he "loved it".

In the sweet tribute on Instagram, she talks about he used to buy "heaps of candy" and hand it out to people who were homeless - saying the day for him was about "practicing the act of love."

Ruby also shared a picture of her of him with the words: "Every Valentine's Day I think of my grandad who loved Valentine's Day. He would buy heaps of candy and hand them out to the homeless.

"For him it wasn't necessarily about celebrating romantic love. It was about practicing the act of love. Even showing simple simile to a stranger is an act of love."

She went on to say: "I'll be celebrating the act of love today in his honor. I mean look at this man and his sweet smile and tender eyes.
