Sir Rod Stewart visited a popular Glasgow Italian restaurant during his recent trip to Scotland.
The Maggie May singer was in town for Celtic's impressive 6-1 win against Hibs and visited a number of landmarks in the city. The Hoops-daft singer had worked up an appetite after visiting the team's training ground in Lennoxtown earlier this week, as he got down and dirty washing the football strips.
The 77 year old went to the training grounds with his youngest son Aiden, 11, and shared snaps from the trip on social media. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Honoured to have visited Celtics training ground ‘Lennoxtown’ with our ‘Hoops’ team @takeleyfc.hoops with @celticfc & @aberdeenfc."
After finishing up his chores at the football ground, he and his family enjoyed a bite to eat at Bella Vita on Mosspark Boulevard in Glasgow's south side. The owner of the eatery, Mimmo Rossi, received a call from Celtic and prepped a private room for 25 people on Sunday in anticipation of the teams and Rod.
Mimmo told The Scottish Sun: "It was after the game and I was contacted by Celtic and we prepared a private room for 25 people. It was Rod, his wife and the rest of the team, the families were in another room.
"It was a lovely day and they were very happy and they said they'll be back. He didn't know that part of the town too well but it was a good day and everyone was very very happy."
This comes after the Do Ya Think I'm Sexy singer was spotted enjoying a night on the town with his wife Penny Lancaster, 51, at Glasgow's Radisson Red rooftop bar. Celtic-daft Rod and Penny were joined by old pal Johnny McLaughlin, who has been providing support for the rocker during some of his last UK tour with band Johnny Mac and The Faithful.
Sharing the snap on Instagram, delighted staff at the hotel wrote: "It was a pleasure to welcome @sirrodstewart & @penny.lancaster to RED at the weekend along with our good friend @johnnymacandthefaithful! #SpecialGuest #RodStewart #Glasgow #RadissonRED."
