Veteran rocker Sir Paul McCartney graced the Glastonbury Festival Pyramid Stage last night. And he halted his much-awaited set to check on someone in the audience.
Sir Paul, 80, became the oldest headliner at the event. It was as he and his band played a Jimi Hendrix tribute that he stopped to check the person in the crowd was OK - continuing when all appeared to be well.
A source told the Mirror: "The crowd were going wild for Paul as soon as he stepped on stage.

"He was in the middle of his tribute to Jimi Hendrix when he stopped to check on someone in the crowd."
Sir Paul was full of emotion as the crowd sang happy birthday to him. He told fans: "OK, so here we are. We've got some old songs, we've got some new songs and we've got some inbetweeners. I've got a feeling we're going to have a great time tonight!"
He dedicated his piano-led version of My Valentine to his wife Nancy, who was in the audience. Former Beatle Sir Paul played the Pyramid Stage in 2004.
