Sir Elton John supported as he shares heartbreak over devastating family death

Sir Elton John has received an abundance of support after sharing the news of losing a family member.

The Rocket Man singer took to Instagram to pay tribute to his beloved auntie who died yesterday. He hailed her as "kindness personified" as he shared a couple of pictures of them together during happier times.

In one picture, Elton wore a fluorescent orange tracksuit as he sat with his Auntie Win. She was dressed in a red cardigan and large earrings as they both smiled for the camera.

Another image showed the singer as a child. The black and white photo showed a younger aunt Win holding baby Elton in the garden.

Elton captioned the images with a heartfelt message as he wrote: "My beautiful Auntie Win passed away this morning at 95 years of age. I loved her so much and will miss her terribly. She was kindness personified. #RIP."

Celebrity friends rushed to offer him support for his loss. Davey Johnstone said: "Oh Auntie Win, so sad to hear this - what a lovely lady."

Chatty Man Alan Carr commented with a heart emoji as he added: "Oh no. So sorry." Danniella Westbrook said: "Sorry for your loss Elton xx".
