Sir Cliff Richard renting out his swanky Barbados home for £3k a night

Sir Cliff Richard is renting out his breathtaking Barbados home for £3k a night – but he has some house rules you must follow.

The music legend is offering up his Caribbean island getaway on Airbnb.

The 80-year-old star has advertised the six-bedroom property after he was unable to sell it.

But if you want to visit, it'll cost you – a two weeks stay will set you back well over £40,000.

However, if you can afford it you are getting quite a holiday destination.

The 2.6 acres pad can house 10 people, has an incredible swimming pool, a tennis court and boasts its own full stocked bar.

The Airbnb advert reads: “The property is beautifully landscaped with huge palm trees lining the entrance leading to a fabulous six-bedroom mansion that is home to one of the most popular British singers of our time.”

But if you want to stay at the Caribbean property, you need to follow his strict rules.

Sir Cliff insists anyone hiring out his home has “no pets and no parties" – and also says smoking in his home is a total no-no.

He has been trying to sell the mansion for four years after he relocated to New York.

It has been market since 2017 but had not sold despite a reduction of £200,000.

The £6.8million asking price hasn't been able to attract a buyer so until it does, the property is up for rent.

Sir Cliff spent the first lockdown at the home as he fled the pandemic.

On Desert Island Discs in December he was asked how he would cope on a desert island.

The star said: “I’ll miss not having my friends around me.

"I’ll miss not having proper meals cooked for me. I’d miss tennis terribly.

“When I did the first five-week lockdown in Barbados, I dealt with that pretty well.”

Sir Cliff is still keen to sell but has made the decision to put his pad up for rent after struggling to find a buyer.
