If there’s still a Love Island-shaped hole in your weeknight viewing schedule then you’re in luck, as ITV2 has thrown a brand new dating show into the mix.
Singletown sees five couples pressing pause on their relationships for one summer in order to live the single life and try dating other people.
They’re hoping that the time apart will allow them to see whether their relationships are worth saving - or whether they’d be better off calling things off for good. But with the contestants able to watch their exes cracking on with others, drama is sure to ensue.
Here's everything you need to know about the series.
How does the show work?
The first episode sees the couples decide to call it quits before moving into one of two luxurious apartment complexes in London - think along the lines of the infamous Love Island villa, transplanted onto the banks of the Thames.
Mentors and hosts Joel Dommett and Emily Atack are on hand to help the contestants settle in and they do their best to act as matchmakers too.
The inhabitants of the Riverside and Cityside apartments enjoy their newfound freedom by attending mixer events with a host of singles, but they soon discover that they are living in very close proximity to their exes - and that it’ll be almost impossible to avoid seeing them as they start dating new people.
Who are the contestants?
Here are the five couples putting their floundering relationships to the ultimate test...
Charlie and Elliott
Charlie, 23, and Elliott, 25, have been in a relationship for five years after the latter slid into the former’s DMs. Things haven’t been easy for the couple after the loss of Elliott’s mum left them with some tough responsibilities to shoulder - and they’ve experienced major trust issues ever since Charlie discovered his boyfriend had been texting someone else. They’re hoping the show will allow them to work out whether it’s time to “step back” from the relationship.
Claudia and Rob
Claudia, 21, and Rob, 23, want some time to “find themselves” away from their relationship after being a couple for three years. Claudia admits she’s not used to being single, having been in a string of back-to-back relationships and her ex wants to see how she reacts to attention from others.
Sophie and George
George, 21, wants to marry Sophie, 18, but she thinks it’s far too soon and finds his “worship” of her too much. She believes “this is the time to see if we are right for each other or if there is someone out there better for me.”
Natasha and Luke
Natasha, 25, and Luke, 29, are in a similar situation: after two years together, Natasha is ready to settle down but Luke doesn’t think they are ready yet. He also admits he has commitment issues after the breakdown of a previous relationship.
Natasha doesn’t want to be “stuck in a relationship that is not going to go anywhere” - so the couple’s stint on the show will be make or break.
Selin and Jeremiah
Selin, 21, and Jeremiah, 23, have had a tumultuous seven-year relationship, with Jeremiah having previously cheated on and broken up with his on-off girlfriend.
He’s also concerned that she is only staying with him because she’s worried about being alone.
When is Singletown on TV?
The first episode will air on September 2 on ITV2 at 9pm and the series will continue on weeknights at the same time.
