Single and ready-to-mingle men are reportedly getting a helping hand from artificial intelligence when it comes to chatting up potential partners on dating apps, giving a whole new meaning to the term wingman.
That's right, lovelorn men are allegedly using the popular and easy-to-use artificial intelligence software ChatGPT, which has exploded in popularity throughout recent months, to woo potential matches.
The AI tool, which is co-funded by Elon Musk, gives users human-like responses to written prompts, such as being asked to write an essay for college, or maybe even a pickup line to use on Tinder.

Users have been raving about the software online due to its responses. Many AI chatbots have existed in the past, however, ChatGPT is considered by many to be one of the best. The chatbot can also do more than just answer questions, it can be used to generate text, translate language and analyse sentiment.
As the software becomes more and more popular, some have even taken to social media to explain how the tool can be used as the perfect cupid as well, with users claiming to have asked ChatGPT for chat-up lines which they then use on their matches on Tinder and Grindr.
According to the Mirror, one person reported: “I sent this girl on tinder a ChatGPT response and I thought it was sure to fail. Got her number back in less than an hour.”
Another said: “I should’ve been using ChatGPT to talk to women on Tinder a lonnnnnnggg time ago.”
Inspired by others, one more added: “I’m rocking the dual monitor setup: Tinder on one monitor and ChatGPT on the other.
Others chimed in about a lack of the software at times when they were seeking a significant other.
One user posted: “Where was ChatGPT when I didn't know how to chat with women on Tinder?
“It's not like I know how to make conversation with a woman right now, but I don't use Tinder anymore.”
Another added: “I learned people are using ChatGPT for Tinder. What do you do when you get to the date? Idk.
“Pretty sure I just need to start adopting dogs at this point.”
What do some AI chat-up lines actually sound like? The Irish Mirror asked ChatGPT for some pick-up lines to use on Tinder and the chatbot generated these responses: "Are you a magician? Because whenever I look at your profile, everyone else disappears."
"Do you believe in love at first swipe, or do I need to unmatch and swipe right again?"
"Excuse me, I think you dropped something... my jaw."
"Excuse me, do you have a map? I just got lost in your eyes."
Would they work for you?
