Singer Johnny Logan spoke of his "terrible sadness" following the death of his beloved friend and Bohs legend Derek "Mono" Monaghan.
The much-loved Cabra, who man died on Wednesday, was known across the club not only as a lifelong fan but as the man who ran the bars at Dalymount. Speaking in a heartbreaking tribute, Johnny said he was still in shock over Mono's passing.
He said: "I’ve just heard with terrible sadness of the passing of my friend and lifelong Bohs man Derek 'Mono' Monaghan. I’m still in shock.

"He was not just a friend, he was the man who kept me updated with all the Bohs news, results, gossip, and everything to do with the club."
Speaking on Instagram, he added: "Always smiling, laughing. He was kind, warm-hearted, a loving husband, father who adored his family."
Johnny went on to fondly recall how Mono would always get him to sing "Hold Me Now" at different Bohemian events. He added: "When I get home l will put on my Bohs Jersey and remember it was him who made sure I had it to wear.
"I wish there were more people like Mono in this world, it’s a sadder place without him."
A fundraiser has been launched to help the Mono's family following his death. Fans have already donated €17,876 to the online page with tributes continuing to flow in.
The GoFundMe page reads: "A Bohemian FC legend passed away tragically on Wednesday August 17th, known to us all as 'mono' he was one of the nicest most genuine people you could ever meet. He spent his life helping others and this fundraiser is to assist his wife and family in the challenging months ahead. This is organised by his loving colleagues at Bohemian Football Club."
