Sinead O'Connor has cancelled her remaining gigs for the rest of the year after dealing with grief over her late son Shane.
The singer has been dealing with grief since her son Shane, 17, sadly passed away earlier this year.
Sinead's management released a statement saying that she will not be performing live for the rest of 2022, including the Galway International Arts Festival on July 24, as she deals with the loss of her son.
The statement said: "We would like to respectfully announce that due to continuing grief over the tragic loss of her beloved son Shane earlier this year, Sinead O'Connor will not be performing live in 2022.
"This has not been an easy decision for Sinead but a decision she has had to make for her own health and wellbeing at this time.
"We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Sinead's worldwide agency ICM who have handled this with the utmost respect and dignity and have worked tirelessly.
"We would also extend our gratitude for the continuing support and understanding of local and international promoters."
Sinead's management went on to thank her fans for their support during the difficult time.
They said: "Thank you also to Sinead's friends and fans whose support and understanding we hold in the highest esteem throughout this period.
"The love being shown has been a source of great comfort and peace for Sinead."
The organisers of the Galway International Arts Festival have said ticket holders will be contacted following the announcement and that they are thinking of Sinead during this time.
Ticket holders for other events are thought to be contacted in due course about cancellations.
Sinead announced the death of her son in January after he had been reported missing two days before his death.
The singer announced the news of Shane’s death on social media, writing: "My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God.
"May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace."
Shane was missing from Newbridge, County Kildare, and was last seen in the Tallaght area of Dublin as officers said they were concerned for his welfare before Sinead's announcement.
Sinead had previously alleged that her son was 'on suicide watch' in an Irish hospital before his death.
Following her son's death, Sinead tweeted that she wouldn't be performing live anytime soon due to there being 'nothing to sing about'.
She wrote: "Just to say, suggestions there’ll be any performances this year or next year or ever again are erroneous. There will never be anything to sing about again. #DropsMike."
