Sin City Celtics knock off Summer Magic 94-77 behind big bench performance

The Boston Celtics picked up just their second win of the NBA’s 2023 Las Vegas Summer League on Saturday evening with the Summer Celtics beating the Orlando Magic 94-77 just moments after news broke of the Celtics signing guard Jay Scrubb to a two way deal for the 2023-24 season.

Boston won convincingly behind a bench-driven effort, with three players coming off the pine to put up double figures. The Celtics were led by forward Vincent Valerio-Bodon with 13 points and 6 rebounds, center Reggie Kisoonlal added 12 points, 5 boards, and 2 blocks, and guard Kamar Baldwin chipped in another 10 points and 6 assists.

Among the starters, wing Jordan Walsh (12 points, 4 rebounds) and forward Justin Bean (10 points) also helped secure the win.

The Celtics now improve to 2-3 in Las Vegas Summer League play as Boston finishes their slate of regular summer league play.
