The Boston Celtics picked up just their second win of the NBA’s 2023 Las Vegas Summer League on Saturday evening with the Summer Celtics beating the Orlando Magic 94-77 just moments after news broke of the Celtics signing guard Jay Scrubb to a two way deal for the 2023-24 season.
Boston won convincingly behind a bench-driven effort, with three players coming off the pine to put up double figures. The Celtics were led by forward Vincent Valerio-Bodon with 13 points and 6 rebounds, center Reggie Kisoonlal added 12 points, 5 boards, and 2 blocks, and guard Kamar Baldwin chipped in another 10 points and 6 assists.
Among the starters, wing Jordan Walsh (12 points, 4 rebounds) and forward Justin Bean (10 points) also helped secure the win.
