Sin City Celtics can’t complete late comeback vs. Knicks in Vegas behind Dalano Banton breakout game

The Boston Celtics nearly came back from a 23-point deficit vs. the New York Knicks in Las Vegas Summer League action on Friday afternoon, cutting the lead to two, 77-75, with 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter. And they made another run at the Knicks in the game’s waning moments.

But the Celtics fell, 97-89, despite a balanced effort that saw six Celtics score in double figures. Dalano Banton led Boston with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Jay Scrubb added 16 points and 6 boards off the bench. Justin Champagnie put up 14 points, Jordan Walsh 13 and Olek Balcerowski 11.
