St George Illawarra forward Tariq Sims can accept a one-game NRL ban with an early guilty plea for his shot on Brisbane's Rhys Kennedy.
The Dragons firebrand was sin-binned twice in his side's loss to the Broncos on Sunday, first taking out Adam Reynolds with a late shot then collecting Kennedy's chin with his shoulder.
There were cries for a straight send-off for Sims' second offence, however he was whacked with grade one and grade two charges as the club breathed a sigh of relief on Monday.
Sims will pay a fine for the hit on Reynolds and can challenge the suspension for his second offence, but faces an extra week on the sideline if found guilty by the panel.
