Simple Online Healthcare makes two c-suite hires

Simple Online Healthcare has made two c-suite hires as the company targets further international growth.

Rebecca Moore joins as chief operating officer from TravelNest, with Panos Karyofyllis hired as chief growth officer from Skyscanner.

The company's co-founder Addy Mohammed said: “Becs and Panos bring unrivalled experience in building brands in global markets, worked closely with our non-executive directors Shane and Jules during their time at Skyscanner, and we couldn’t be happier to have them on board.”

Moore began her career at Unilever, then spending three years with Royal Bank of Scotland, before moving to Skyscanner to work closely with the travel site’s chief operating officer Mark Logan on transformational change, including a relocation to Singapore to help run the Skyscanner business across Asia-Pacific markets.

She worked alongside Shane Corstorphine to help run the company’s Europe, Middle East, African and Americas divisions. Moore joined TravelNest as vice president of operations in 2019, before being appointed chief operating officer in 2020.

She said: “I am excited to join Addy, Karim, and the team as the company enters a new phase of growth, across the UK and internationally, and to be able to share the journey to scale in the digital healthcare sector with Panos, Shane and Jules.”

Karyofyllis joins from Skyscanner, where he held various leadership positions across growth, marketing, strategy and insights, most recently as senior director of performance marketing. In his previous position at Skyscanner, he oversaw the company’s growth strategy for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Simple Online Healthcare reported annual revenue of £14.5m in the year to 28 February 2022, and forecast revenue in excess of £20m in the current year. Headcount has more than doubled since 2021, and in March the company announced the appointment of former Skyscanner executives Shane Corstorphine and Jules Pancholi as non-executive directors.

In September, the business announced the acquisitions of the Kapsel and Dr Felix brands from Stark Healthcare, making expansion into Europe for the first time. Kapsel provides primary care services to patients across Germany, while Dr Felix is an online doctor clinic serving patients UK-wide.

Karim Nassar, the other co-founder at Simple Online Healthcare, added: “On the back of posting another strong year of double-digit revenue growth and our recent acquisitions, building out the senior management team will help to accelerate our growth plans.”
