Liverpool's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg with Arsenal is reportedly at risk of being postponed.
The first leg of the semi-final tie with the Gunners, due to be played on January 6, had to be moved back a week after the Reds suffered a Covid-19 outbreak and a similar situation could be about to unfold.
Mikel Arteta's side saw their north London derby with Tottenham Hotspur called off its scheduled Sunday date after submitting a request to have the game moved to the Premier League, which was met by an angry response from their bitter rivals.

A latest report from inews has claimed that Arsenal are now 'uncertain' as to whether or not they will be able to field a team to face Liverpool in the semi-final second leg of the Carabao Cup.
The Gunners are currently without Mohamed Elneny, Nicolas Pepe ans Thomas Partey due to their involvement at the Africa Cup of Nations, meanwhile the likes of Emile Smith Rowe (groin), Martin Odegaard (Covid) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (calf) are all sidelined.
A number of Arsenal supporters reacted furiously on social media after learning of Liverpool's virus outbreak that resulted in the first leg being moved, proposing that the Reds should have fielded Academy players or forfeited the tie.
Similar remarks have now been thrown back in their direction after it emerged that the Gunners' application to postpone their meeting with Spurs was submitted on the back of one positive Covid case.
Frustration is growing over the number of matches being called off each week, with many of the view that Premier League clubs are manipulating the rules on Covid-enforced postponements.
Official guidance regarding this matter states that where a club cannot field 13 outfield players and a goalkeeper either from its squad list or its appropriately experienced Under-21 players, the match will be rearranged.
