Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time, will not be attending the opening ceremony of the Olympics in order to prioritize resting up for the qualifying events on Sunday. Biles, 27, boasts an impressive collection of Olympic medals, including four gold, one silver, and two bronze.

Meanwhile, over 10,000 elite athletes from around the world embarked on a unique parade down the Seine River, featuring nearly 100 boats. The 3.7-mile route showcased some of Paris' most iconic landmarks, providing a picturesque backdrop for the grand event.
