Congratulations are in order because American gymnast and Olympic gold-medallist Simone Biles has announced her engagement to NFL star Jonathan Owens.
The NFL star proposed to Simone on Valentine's Day and said that her response to the proposal was "the easiest yes".
Simone, 24, took to Instagram to share the joyous news with her 6.8m followers and posted a series of loved-up snaps.
Captioning the carousel of snaps, Simone penned: "THE EASIEST YES. I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! Let’s get married FIANCÉ."
In the snaps that the Olympic star uploaded, she can be seen donning a black faux leather mini dress, with strappy sandals and her hair down and framing her face.
The first photo showed Jonathan down on one knee and the second was of Simone looking completely taken aback.
In the third photo the newly engaged couple were standing on a bandstand as Jonathan swept her up into an embrace, while the fourth snap was of Simone admiring her ring.
Her huge diamond ring could be seen clearly in the fifth snap while the couple enjoyed a glass of champagne and an intimate smooch, while the sixth snap was of them holding hands.
To complete the carousel of snaps, Simone posted a video of the ring up close – which is absolutely massive and incredibly sparkly.
The pair had been dating since August 2020 prior to their engagement on Monday, which means later this year they will have been together for two years.
Simone's beau and now soon-to-be-husband, 26, also took to Instagram to share a sweet post where he wrote: "Woke up this morning with a fiancee… She really had no clue what was coming."
A flurry of well wishers flocked to the comments section of both posts, with Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee penning: "I’m screaming I’m so happy."
Nastia Liukin, another gymnast, commented “Soooooo freaking happy."
MyKayla Skinner commented: "I have been waiting for this day to happen!!!"
Biles has won four Olympic gold medals, with a silver and two bronze, and 19 golds at the World Championships.
Back in November 2021 while speaking to US Weekly as part of promotion for her Gold Over America Tour, the global star suggested her mental health challenges could force her to step away from the sport.
"The mental aspect obviously got me during Tokyo and it’s, like, some of those things you can’t ignore, and my body didn’t ignore," she said.
"If we can keep that under control, I would love to train again. But then, at the end of the day, if it costs me my peace, I’m going to step away.
"And I’m completely fine with stepping away because I’ve been through so much. I’ve accomplished so much."
This came as Simone processed the trauma of the abuse she suffered at the hands of former USA Gymnastics physician Larry Nassar.
In 2017, Larry Nassar was sentenced to a 60 years prison sentence after pleading guilty to child pornography and tampering with evidence charges.
His sentence was significantly increased after he was accused of sexual abuse by more than 330 women and girls, including Simone Biles.
The gymnast added: "Everything that I’ve been through with the organisation of USAG just makes for a sticky situation.
"It just sucks. And it’s, like, I love the sport so much, but I feel like it’s just a hit to the gut every time something comes out or new information has been revealed."
Simone has had to deal with a lot in her 24 years, which is why we are so overjoyed that she's doing so well and in a loving relationship with her fiance.
