Simone Biles, the renowned American gymnast, still has an opportunity to conclude her remarkable Olympic journey on a high note. Despite a disappointing performance on the balance beam, Biles will be competing in the floor exercise later, a discipline she has excelled in twice during the current Paris Olympics.

If Biles had secured gold in both events, she would have equaled Katie Ledecky for the most Olympic gold medals ever won by an American woman. Additionally, she would have joined the ranks of Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina and Ledecky for the most gold medals ever won by a female Olympian.
