Simon Jordan on enormous potential Sam Allardyce bonus if Leeds United avoid relegation

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believes that Sam Allardyce could be paid an incredible bonus of up to £3 million if he manages to keep Leeds United in the Premier League.

The 68-year-old is set to replace Javi Gracia at Elland Road after a shocking run of form has seen the Whites drop to 17th, only outside of the relegation zone on goal difference.

But with an difficult task of facing Manchester City, Newcastle United, West Ham and Tottenham as his final four games, many don't believe Leeds have a chance of survival.

However, if Allardyce does pull off what many believe to be the impossible, Jordan claims he'll get a handsome reward for his efforts.

"I would think at somewhere between £1 million and £3 million is what he'll get paid if he keeps Leeds United in the Premier League," Jordan claimed on the Jordan and White show on talkSPORT.

"What?! For four games?" co-host Jim White asked.

"This is it, this is the nature of the beast," Jordan continued. "Certainly a million quid, certainly a million quid. Footballers are getting £500,000 a week, what do you expect?

"This is the nature of the beast. Obviously he's not going to get it if he takes them down, is he?! But if he keeps them up, I expect between £1-3million, probably somewhere in the middle.

"If I had to guess, probably around £2m but this is what you do when you have a resume that allows you to pop up out of nowhere. It'll just be for getting the players to actually face the right way and getting Leeds out of losing £150m.

"It shows you the absolute ridiculousness of this industry. It shows you what you can get paid in football in those sort of terms. You could ask how much is Roy Hodgson getting for his job at Crystal Palace?

"In this world, we're talking about a fella going into the dressing room full of highly-paid players, making them face the right way, getting a couple million quid out of it.

"That's not what he's getting the couple million quid for - he's getting it for his 25 years of experience as a manager."
