Simon Jordan believes Steve Bruce will face “serious ramifications” for his poor results as West Bromwich Albion manager. Almost one year on from his Newcastle United sacking, the pressure is back on the 61-year-old after a dismal start to the campaign.
Just one win from 12 games leaves the Baggies 22nd in the Championship - two points adrift from safety. Bruce took charge at the Hawthorns in February and, since then, has attained a 26% win percentage.
Bookmakers made him the firm favourite to be the next manager sacked after West Brom’s 1-0 defeat to Preston in midweek. The result came just days after Bruce’s side surrendered a lead to lose 3-2 to Swansea on home soil.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan - who once labelled Newcastle fans as “mouthy little cowards” for criticising Bruce - admitted the ex-Magpies boss’ days appear numbered. The former Crystal Palace owner also took a swipe at Toon supporters for highlighting their vindication.
"He's got to do better," Jordan said. "Ironically, they are doing okay against the top sides in the division, the perceived top sides, the Burnleys and Norwichs of the world.
“They are taking points off them. Against Preston, they had the bulk of the possession, 20 shots on goal and did not score any goals.
"Put all of that to one side, you can not go to West Bromwich Albion as the person who is designed to bring them back into the situation where they get out of the league and take them to third bottom and not expect to have some serious ramifications from it.
"A 25% win rate at a club that is set up to get promoted is going to get you the sack. The altercations with the fans... they have a right to an opinion. That opinion needs to be tempered at times and presented in a certain way. The bottom line is, I always defend Steve because I have worked with him and I know what capabilities he has as a bloke and a manager.
"You can get Newcastle fans saying 'we told you', alright fine, great, get it, you've had your point and now you're winning, good for you. The bottom line is that the job he is doing at West Brom is not good enough, you're in an outcome business and you've had 31 games."
