Simon Cowell’s son Eric followed in his father’s footsteps as he joined the Britain’s Got Talent panel for a fun selfie.
The five-year-old posed with his tongue out alongside his father and fellow judge Amanda Holden during last night’s semi-final, with remaining panellists Alesha Dixon and David Walliams grinning behind them.
Holden shared the photo on Instagram with the caption “Our fifth judge in the making!” before adding the sweet hashtag “#onlyasmallchairneeded.”
The judge’s Instagram followers were quick to point out the family resemblance, branding Eric a “mini Simon” and “Simon’s double.”
“Eric looks exactly like his father,” one user wrote, while another added: “Defo Eric is the chip [off] the old block @noholdenback multi millionaire in the making.”
“Stunning every one of you even Simon scrubs up no[t] bad but Eric wins the vote!!! So cute,” another comment read.
The father of one sparked debate earlier this week after he revealed that he would like Eric to leave school at the age of 10 in order to work for him.
“Listen, if I can get him out at 10 to come and work for me, then I would,” he told NBC.
“I was better off out of school than I was in school. But I didn’t have that major stress about homework, because I would just throw it away.
“I am not just saying behave like me, but at the same time, you have got to have a balance. A healthy, happy kid is more important than an overeducated, stressed kid.”
Last night’s show saw Chelsea pensioner Colin Thackery and Cowell’s golden buzzer act Kojo land spots in Sunday’s grand final.
Britain’s Got Talent continues at 7.30pm and 9.30pm tonight on ITV
