Simon Cowell is 'lucky to be alive' after caught up in an e-bike crash where he suffered concussion, according to reports.
The TV legend was allegedly rushed to hospital last Thursday night following a smash believed to have taken place close to his home in west London then later released.
Simon, 62, is believed to have 'propelled over the handlebars and and onto the road at 20mph', the Mirror reports.
The Britains' Got Talent judge was allegedly not wearing a helmet at the time.
This is the the second time the mogul has been in an e-bike accident in less than two years.
Simon broke his back following a smash 18 moths ago in Los Angeles, California.
Witnesses raced to his aid before emergency services arrived at the scene, according to The Sun.
He was rushed to hospital with suspected concussion and a broken arm, reports the publication.
A source said: “Simon is lucky to be alive.
“He was pedalling along, with his electric motor on, when the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch.
"He slipped and went flying over the handlebars into the middle of the road."
According to the insider, Simon had blood pouring all down his face and "looked like something from Phantom of the Opera".
Thankfully, Simon was released from hospital that same night, with a cast on his arm.
His son Eric, who he shares with fiancee Lauren Silverman, has already signed his cast.
The youngster has "drawn their dogs Diddly and Squiddly" on Simon's cast.
He was reportedly told to rest following the crash.
The source added: "Despite this being his second great escape, Simon insists he’s not ditching the bike — but he will start wearing a helmet."
The crash came shortly after Simon finished filming for the news series of Britain's Got Talent, which is set to air in April.
It was in August 2020 where Simon suffered a very similar accident in America.
After it happened, he said: "Sometimes we get a reminder that we’re not invincible and this was certainly mine. It was a huge shock."
But it seems the TV star is yet to learn his lesson as he found himself in another life-threatening scenario last week.
Recently, Simon made the headlines as his son has been educating him about climate change, sparking his decision to buy an electric car.
Saying he is taking things seriously, Simon revealed he bought a Tesla.
