Simon Cowell 'left with head in his hands' as Bruno makes Britain's Got Talent blunder

Bruno Tonioli has reportedly left Simon Cowell with 'his head in his hands' after wreaking havoc on Britain's Got Talent.

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge has only recently joined the BGT team as one of the judges, replacing David Walliams after he quit the programme following an apology he made for leaked comments about contestants in 2020.

Every season, there is usually one lucky act that get to go straight from the auditions to the live finals when a judge presses the Golden Buzzer.

However, it has been reported that Bruno, 67, wasn't aware that the button is only allowed to be used once by each judge throughout the audition stage.

It is understood that it was 'madness' and bosses had to figure out whether to allow a second act through or to not count it.

"The buzzer worked but there was no glitter in the cannon above the stage as it had already been used up," an insider explained.

"A producer raced over to try to tell Bruno he couldn’t do that.

"Then there were discussions with the top execs and Simon, who had his head in his hands," they added to The Sun.

Mirror have contacted Britain's Got Talent for comment.

Meanwhile, the Mirror recently exclusively revealed that Bruno has been giving bosses headaches as he keeps jumping up from his seat.

His movements have been causing a technical issue as he keeps moving out of frame.

The camera operators at the London Palladium have to be on red alert to anticipate each of his moves.

A source said: “Bruno is a little firecracker and constantly jumping up and down. The crowd loves it, Simon loves it... but the camera operators, less so.

On the first day of filming, Bruno admitted he was 'emotional and nervous' (PA)

"It’s an undertaking keeping up with him. He is up and down like a yo-yo.”

On his first day of filming, Bruno admitted he was "emotional and nervous" about making his bow.

Introducing him at the London Palladium to Rocky soundtrack Eye of the Tiger, host Declan Donnelly said: "We’re so excited to be back! We’ve got a bit of a change this year, a brand new judge on the panel!"

Bruno responded: "I am thrilled to be here, look at these girls, as he gestured over to fellow judges Amanda and Alesha.

"And my old friend Simon, what an honour it is to work with you, finally," he continued. "He’s teased me with this for years and years, I tell you. I’m thrilled to finally be here. I’m very emotional and I’m very, very nervous."
