Taylor Swift fans were stunned by news the pop star is reportedly in a relationship with Matty Healy following her shock split from actor Joe Alwyn.
The Shake it Off star, 33, is rumoured to be dating 1975 frontman Matty, who welcomed Taylor on stage at one of his gigs earlier this year as she performed her song Anti‐Hero live for the first time.
Denise Welch's son Matty is set to make a public appearance with Taylor at the weekend when she performs in Nashville, Tennessee.
The alleged new pairing comes a matter of weeks after the US singer split from the British actor and it's said the pair are already "madly in love".
They are said to have had to cope with a "lot of Face-Timing" in the early moments of the coupling as they are both busy with their touring schedules.
However, the new romance is said to have been bubbling for some time.
Here's a look back at all the times clues proved the singers were more than just friends.
Secret texts
The pair are said to have met each other through their love of music, as Taylor attended The 1975's concert with her best pal Selena Gomez in 2014.
They quickly struck up a friendship and Taylor was soon spotted wearing the British band's T-shirt.
Matty returned the favour as he performed wearing a 1989 album top.
Romance rumours began to swirl, which were denied by Taylor but Matty had confirmed they'd been texting each other.
He said on Australian radio: "Yeah, we met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally."
"Since she came to my show in December of 2014, I would say that 90 perfect of journalists that have interviewed me have asked about either her as a person or what our 'interaction' was like," he told GQ.
"I have said on countless occasions that I found her to be one of the most gracious, hard working, creatively gifted, and beautiful women that I have had the pleasure to meet. I personally have a lot of respect and admiration for her. Why would I not?"
Family meet-ups
Taylor looked very close with Matty's mum Denise Welch back in January.
The Loose Women star, 64, spilled all on their catch up as she shared a photo of them backstage at a The 1975 gig in London's O2 in January.
She wrote: "Oh what a night at a sold out 02. So proud I can't even begin!!"
Toning down
Matty has built up a reputation of getting up close and personal with his fans - having recently caused a stir by bringing up gig-goers for an onstage kiss.
Yet the frontman notably toned down his onstage behaviour when Taylor was in attendance.
Referring to the singer as a "queen", he disappointed his fans by announcing he wouldn't be kissing anyone that night.
He told the crowd: "I'm not kissing anybody in front of Taylor Swift, have some respect. In front of the Queen, it's not happening."
Collaborations
The 1975 worked with Taylor on her latest album Midnights, but Matty revealed their tracks didn't make the final cut.
He told KROQ's Klein/Ally Show for Audacy's DTS Sound Space: "We actually worked a bit on that but then the version of it never came out."
The star was then booed and he added: "That's not how it works. It was for reasons that are not to be criticised. She's amazing."
Mutual friends
Taylor and Matty have a wide connection of shared social circles, including musician Jack Antonoff who has produced albums for both The 1975 and Taylor.
They also share singer friend Halsey, who Matty was rumoured to have dated in 2015.
DJ Nick Grimshaw is also friends with the pair after getting to know Taylor when she dated his best friend Harry Styles.
