He highlighted the efforts of the crews, noting the 'really good progress' made along the fire's edge. Referring to a map of the fire burning above Sierra Madre, which borders Pasadena to the northeast, Fregulia emphasized the ongoing work required to address the damage in the front country.
Recognizing the extensive nature of the task ahead, Fregulia acknowledged that it will take 'many, many days' to fully address the impact of the fire. He urged the public to remain patient as firefighting teams continue their efforts to contain and extinguish the blaze.
