A signal fault at a busy Glasgow train station is causing travel chaos for early-morning commuters.
Shortly after 7am today, a spokesperson for ScotRail took to Twitter to warn customers that the fault is causing disruption to services between Glasgow Central and the following stations:
- East Kilbride
- Barrhead
- Kilmarnock
- Carlisle via Dumfries
- Girvan/Stranraer via Kilmarnock
- Newton
- Neilston

All of the above services face delays, cancellations or revisions until the issue is resolved.
It is understood that ticket acceptance is now available on a number of bus routes.
