'Sign him' - Arsenal fans make Cody Gakpo transfer demand after Netherlands World Cup goal

Cody Gakpo continues to light up the World Cup after netting his third goal for the Netherlands in their final group stage match against Qatar. The PSV forward struck in the Dutch's other two games and with a goal against the hosts joins Wesley Sneijder, Denis Bergkamp and Johan Neeskens as a Dutch player to score in three consecutive World Cup games.

Gakpo headed in the Netherlands opener against Senegal in their opening group stage game before finishing emphatically with his left to put Louis Van Gaal's side in front against Ecuador and added his name to a list of Dutch greats with a composed finish against Qatar.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Gakpo ahead of the January transfer window after Man United and Leeds showed interest in Gakpo over the summer. The 23-year-old now has 18 goals and 18 assists from 32 games in all competitions this season.

Gakpo opened the scoring in the Netherlands fixture against Qatar after latching onto Davy Klassen's pass before unleashing a powerful finish.
