Rookie quarterback Drake Maye saved the game for the New England Patriots in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans by completing a last-second touchdown pass to running back Rhamondre Stevenson.
The touchdown tied the game at 17 following the extra point and sent it into overtime.
A “Sights & Sounds” video was released that gives a close-up of the play. As soon as the ball was snapped, Maye went into a scramble drill, avoiding multiple defenders. He somehow found a way to stay on his feet long enough to make a play for his team.
The Patriots weren’t able to get the win in the end, but it was an incredible play that should only add to their offensive confidence moving forward.

Maye showed his ability to perform under pressure when the Patriots needed him the most. We’ll see how well that carries over for the rest of the season.
