Sidhu Moose Wala's 'bhog' ceremony draws never ending rush of mourners in Punjab

MANSA: A sea of humanity converged at the grain market in the district headquarters town of Punjab to participate in the bhog ceremony of noted singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu also known as Sidhu Moose Wala on Wednesday.

Large number of fans reached the bhog venue while riding the two wheeler tractors holding pictures of Sidhu Moose Wala. The grain market spreading over acres reverberated with slogans of Sidhu Moose Wala amar rahe (long live Moose Wala) and katilan nu fahe lao (give death sentence to killers).

The mood was surcharged as the youths were restlessly standing in never ending long queues to pay last respects to the singer. Most of them came while tying turban as per the call given by Moose Wala's family.

Sidhu Moose Wala's father Balkaur Singh with chocked voice said that the day of May 29 will be remembered as a black chapter in his life till when he will be alive.

We never had thought such a fate for our son. He cautioned people from spreading rumours and fake stories about his son and believe only in his verified Instagram account. "As presently we have given time to police to provide justice, don't get provoked and believe in falsehoods, whenever any message will have to be given I will gone live from the verified account", he said.

Balkaur Singh also refuted the allegations that some leaders or any political party forced his son to contest but contesting assembly elections was the choice of Sidhu, nobody asked him for it rather Raja (Warring) had stopped from contesting elections and nothing more should be read out of it.

Father further getting emotional said: "if my son had spoken any wrong word for anyone during his entire life, I apologise for it." Mother Charan Kaur asked everyone to plant a sapling in her son' memory and take care of it to turn the sapling into full-fledged tree.

Balkaur Kaur also said: "though life had gone meaningless after May 29, but the immense support provided by you have lessened my grief. Though we will never be able to tolerate the tragedy but will try to live after getting strength from almighty".
