Sidemen vs YouTube Allstars trophy presentation cancelled amid Charlton Athletic security issue

More than a million people tuned in online to watch the charity game between Sidemen and Youtube Allstars on Saturday. And there were thousands inside Charlton Athletic's the Valley stadium too.

The huge charity event garnered vast interest across social media, with some of the Internet's biggest stars taking part. And the contest raised more than £1million for charity too, with the sum split between Campaign Against Living Miserably, Teenage Cancer Trust, Rays of Sunshine and M7E.

Sidemen were victorious at the Valley, winning a thriller by the odd-goal in 15. Miniminter was the start of show, netting a hat-trick with his third late on proving to be the decisive goal in the 8-7 score.

But there was to be no trophy presentation for the fans to see. That is because a security issue at Charlton led to supporters being asked to leave the stadium and the trophy being handed to Sidemen in the dressing room instead of on the pitch.

No details of the security issues were provided during the live broadcast, but fans had been seen encroaching on the pitch after the final whistle.

Chunkz was on the scoresheet for the Youtube Allstars who had gone in front four times early on, only to be pegged back to the Sidemen at 5-5. Then it was the turn of the Sidemen to go into the lead before being pegged back twice before Miniminter bagged his hat-trick with a superb strike from range to seal the deal.

Speed, who had travelled from America to take part in the game, had wiped out YouTuber-turned boxer KSI with a heavy tackle in the first half, much to his obvious delight.
