Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have had four opportunities to knock out the Chiefs in the postseason. Each of those opportunities, though, have ended in heartbreak.
In Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, the Bills came painfully close to converting on a fourth-down attempt as Allen’s desperation heave fell through Dalton Kincaid’s hands. The turnover on downs all but sealed the Chiefs’ third straight trip to the Super Bowl.
And Allen clearly knew that in the moment.
In video taken from the Bills’ sidelines, we could see how stunned and disappointed Allen was as that pass hit the turf at Arrowhead Stadium.
All he could do was watch the replay and make the walk back to the bench as the crowd in the background went wild.
It’s tough not to feel for Allen in that moment. The Bills were right there.
