In another feather to its cap, Siddipet district has been selected for the ‘Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2019’ under Mission Indradhanush in the group of ‘other states’. This was communicated to Collector M. Hanumantha Rao on April 11 by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
The award consists of a trophy, scroll and an incentive of ₹10 lakh.
Finance and Health Minister T. Harish Rao expressed his happiness at the news. He said, “Siddipet is a role model for the nation in implementing 100% vaccination for children.
“The award will be given on Civil Services Day in New Delhi on April 20. I congratulate the officials who made this possible and achieved cent per cent vaccination for children,” he said.
