Sickening footage shows moment dog mauls Scots girl in Glasgow garden

This is the moment a four-year-old girl was savaged by a dog in an alleged attack in Glasgow.

Harley Chatterton can be heard screaming in pain as the dog after the animal attacked her in her gran's friend's communal garden on Bredishold Road, Baillieston, at around 4.30pm on May 14.

We reported earlier how the one-year-old Jackador dog launched the frenzied attack as Harley stood playing with it in the sunshine.

In doorbell footage, Harley can be seen standing in front of railings with the dog in the garden before the animal jumps on her, knocking her to the ground.

Janet was left covered in blood as she attempted to free the terrified tot from the violent dog's grip.

The child was left needing 60 stitches on her face after she sustained 13 injuries on her face, including deep lacerations on her nose, mouth and lip.

Her mum Caprice said she feared the worst when she received a call to say her daughter had been attacked.

She added: "All I had been told was that Harley had been attacked by a dog. I didn't know where or how bad it was. Me and Stephen got there quickly after it happened.

"The first thing I saw was my mum covered in blood. I was horrified, I knew it must have been serious.

"When I saw my little girl's face I was heartbroken. She was in so much pain and wouldn't let anyone near her. She was crying hysterically."

Harley sustained 13 injuries on her face, including deep lacerations on her nose, mouth and lip.

A 21-year-old woman is set to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date in connection with the incident.
