Animal welfare experts are appealing for a home for a five-year-old Staffordshire Cross named Nellie who is currently staying at Dogs Trust West Calder.
Her carers say she is a shy girl who would be most comfortable in a peaceful household.
A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “As she takes time to form trusting relationships, she would like to meet her new family a few times at the centre before going home. Once she has made friends, Nellie is a loving companion who can’t resist a belly rub from her favourite people.
“A sweet girl who loves exploring outdoors, she is always ready to jump in the car to go on quiet countryside walks where she can have a good sniff. Nellie enjoys spending time in the garden where she can chase her tennis ball or laze in the sunshine. She is a clever girl who is eager to learn new tricks and enjoys playing with puzzle toys.”
If you think you could provide a home for Nellie or any of the 50 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact the West Calder Rehoming Centre on 01506 873459.
