LUCKNOW: From ‘shramdaan’ in Ravidas temple to long foot march and extensive door-to-door campaign, candidates to various assembly seats in the city reached out to voters in different ways on Wednesday.
Congress candidate from Lucknow East Manoj Tiwari visited Ravidas temple in Chandganj where he garlanded the idols of the saint and picked up the broom to sweep the temple premises.
SP candidate from Lucknow North Pooja Shukla marched through Daliganj, Faizullaganj, Raheemnagar, Keshavnagar and Triveninagar promising voters to solve all their problems after getting elected.
BJP candidate and minister Brajesh Pathak, contesting from Lucknow Cantonment, addressed a gathering in Sadar. He was accompanied by his wife Namrata and Mulayam’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav.
BJP’s Lucknow East candidate Ashutosh Tandon, in his speech in Adilnagar, Indiranagar and Nishatganj, said, “Elect BJP again if you want development.”
SP candidate from Lucknow West Armaan Khan led a door-to-door campaign in his constituency, highlighting the work done by the previous government.
Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak campaigned for Lucknow Central candidate Sadaf Jafar, in Aminabad and Kaiserbagh. She said that if elected, Congress will work for education, employment and women.
AAP candidate from Lucknow East Alok Singh led a door-to-door campaign in Indiranagar, Lohianagar and Mahanagar, apprising voters about the works of AAP government in Delhi and promising the same in UP.
BJP’s Anjani Srivastava in Lucknow West visited Sheetladevi and Saadatganj wards to tell people about the work done.
