New Delhi: Aftab Poonawalla, who is an accused of Shraddha Walkar's murder, on Thursday withdrew his bail application filed before the Saket Court. Aaftab’s lawyer said that the bail plea was filed erroneously.
Aftab said on 17 December that he had signed the 'vakalatnama' but did not know about filing a bail application. Additional Sessions Judge Vrinda Kumari then said the court received an intimation from Aftab through email that the bail application was moved by mistake.
Aftab was presented before the court through video conferencing. The court on 9 December extended Aftab’s judicial custody for 14 days till 23 December. He is currently lodged in Tihar jail. (Agencies)
