Shower company Kohler Mira appoints new managing director

Gloucestershire shower manufacturing firm Kohler Mira has appointed a new UK managing director. Emma Foster will take over from Craig Baker who has moved to a global position delivering the product innovation programme for parent company Kohler Co.

Mr Baker, who has been at the helm of the company for the past three and a half years, has been promoted to vice president of global innovation. He will be responsible for delivering the firm’s innovation objectives within its kitchen and bath unit. Ms Foster will continue to report directly to Mr Baker, who retains overall accountability of the UK Kohler Mira business.

Ms Foster, who has spent 19 years at the Cheltenham-based firm, started as a graduate in a temporary role in 2004. During her time with the company she has held various positions within the marketing team.

For the last five years, she has been part of the board as marketing director. She is also involved in two of Kohler Mira’s executive steering groups - early careers and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Ms Foster said: “I’m so pleased and privileged to have been asked to lead a business I’ve been a part of for 19 years, and one that I am so passionate about. Over our 100-year history Kohler Mira has been responsible for bringing real innovation to the showering market and I look forward to leading our talented team of people."

Mr Baker added: “My three and a half years as managing director have been some of my best at Kohler Mira, so while I’m sad to leave the role, it couldn’t in be safer hands than with Emma. I have full confidence that she will drive the business to even more success and I look forward to the next exciting chapter.”

Last year, Kohler Mira officially opened its new multi-million pound national distribution centre in Worcester. The company said at the time the 150,000 sq ft building would allow it to process orders three times faster and better link deliveries across its manufacturing sites around the UK.
